How do I disable Image compression

For Workes & Pages, what is the name of the domain?

What is the issue or error you’re encountering

There doesnt seem to be a way to stop Cloudflare from compressing my images and turning them into a .avif format. I want to serve my images as jpg not avif and the docs are outdated so going to Speed → Image Optomization gives a 404. I’ve been trying to figure this out for 2 hours now.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Ive dug through all the docs and tried the AI helper but the docs are outdated. and the links lead to 404s

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Attempted to add format=jpeg but its still giving the images in .avif

What is the issue or error you’re encountering

Cloudflare is compressing the images and serving it in a unwanted format (AVIF)

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

This should be so simple.

How can I simply turn off the compression of photos?

The compression is degrading the quality of the image and also serving it in a format that’s not convenient to my users (Avif?). I’d like them to be served in the format in which they are provided (PNG/JPEG)

Is there a way to do this? It’s driving me and my users crazy.

I’m curious… what led you to use Cloudflare Images in the first place?

If you don’t want any image transformations or optimizations at all – and only storage for your images, then perhaps Cloudflare R2 (which the Images product uses under the hood) might be a better and cheaper option for you?

Or am I missing something here?
