How do I disable email routing?

What is the name of the domain?

Yeah, I’m not providing account information on a public forum.

What is the issue you’re encountering

I cannot disable email routing. Hence the question “How do I disable email routing?”

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The help documentation says:
“Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard :arrow_upper_right: and select your account and domain.
Go to Email > Email Routing > Settings.
Select Start disabling > Delete and Disable. Email Routing will show you the list of records associated with your account that will be deleted.
Select Delete records.”

I went to that page.

The phrase “Delete and Disable” do not appear on it, nor do the individual words “delete” or “disable”.

I even used Ctrl + F on both “Delete” and “Disable” with 0 results found for “Delete” and 2 results found for “disable”, both in the sentence “Subdomains are dependent on domain. If domain is disabled, subdomains will be disabled too”, which has nothing to do with this.

I’ve taken and uploaded a screenshot of the page so someone here can tell me where on that page they see the words “Delete and Disable”.

Screenshot of the error

“Start”–as in “Start Disabling”, which the help documentation says I should click–“0 found on page”.

“Disabling”–as in “Start disabling”–“0 found on page”.

“Delete”–as in “Delete and disable”–“0 found on page”.

And no, where it says “Routing Status Enabled” and “MX Records Locked”, neither option is clickable to change it.

I never requested my MX records be locked. That being done by default is, even if easily corrected, unacceptable.

That control being taken from me with no way to take it back is beyond unacceptable.

What exactly do you see, if you’re clicking on the three dots, to the right of “February 19, 2024”?

I don’t see 3 dots or anything else to the right of " February 19, 2024".

There are 3 dots in your screenshot to the right of that date.

It was locked because you configured Cloudflare’s mail forwarding service and management of those records in 2 places inevitably leads to misconfiguration if allowed.

I posted a screenshot of the page exactly as it appears.

Once again, I don’t see anything to the right of that date.

I’ve turned off all of my content blockers and even tried multiple browsers (Chromimum and non-Chromium both) to see if anything was being blocked and it wasn’t.

I also tried highlighting everything on the page, like I had to do to see the dark gray text at the top after using Ctrl+F to find the “Settings” option, because CF apparently doesn’t give a damn about contrast accessibility, and there’s nothing to the right of the date.

Here’s another screenshot.

I have no idea what either of you are talking about. The only thing I see the right of the date, even after highlighting the entire page to reveal the hidden dark gray elements, is just the charcoal background.

Yes again in the new screenshot to the right of the date there are 3 dots ….

On the screenshot you posted, I see them here:

I don’t see anything, but I’ll take your word for it.

What do I need to type into the Ctrl + F search bar to locate it?

This helped–thank you!

I just moved my cursor to the magnifying glass and moved it down until it turned into a pointer (presumably once it hit the 3 dots), then, while highlighting the page to see what options came up, my mouse inadvertently hovered over one called “Disabling” and it lit up.

Ugh I feel dirty. I just enabled email routing on a test domain for the first time to confirm @DarkDeviL was not simply asking a rhetorical question but was providing the path forward.

It is indeed.
