How do I avoid multiple redirects from example.com to www then to https?

When I test my SSL domain using Google PageSpeed Insights and such, it shows me that when the URL is entered as example.com, it first redirects to www and only then to https.

Is there a way for me to avoid these multiple redirects, that is, to go straight to https with www in one redirect?
I do already have a page Forwarding URL rule that is supposed to do that, but the first redirect is still happening.

My domain is on SiteGround if this is of any relevance.

I would appreciate any ideas.

Add below page rule 1st in the list:

example.com/*
301 url forward to
https://www.example.com/$1
