How do I add a CNAME record?

dns
cname

#1
  1. Login to your Cloudflare account.
  2. From the dropdown menu on the top left, select your domain.
  3. Select the DNS settings tab.
  4. Add the CNAME records. It must point to a fully qualified domain name. Example if you want to point blog subdomain to domain.com

Updated screen capture to include the orange cloud. If you are creating a cname record for verification with a 3rd party service where they expect the value to match a record they gave you, you should gray cloud the record instead of orange clouding it.

I don’t have any clouds when I set up a CNAME record. I have tried several times without any luck. I have 2 domains set up in my account and one has the clouds and the other doesn’t Is this a problem?

I have a handful of CNAME records with :orange: and a host lookup returns Cloudflare IP addresses.

Are you setting this up at Cloudflare, or through a partner?

I’ve recently setup Cloudflare and after changing the Nameservers my one Subdomain stopped working,

It’s a Plesk made subdomain on a cloud server, I went to the cloud flare DNS settings and added it as:

Name: news
Domain Name: secureidentityledger.com
and I changed it to an Orange cloud (it recommended it)

I still cannot see my subdomain, what should I be doing differently?
