How can I delete the last deployment of an alias preview Cloudflare Pages? and delete the alias

for some reason created a not-so-good branch name in github repo, then it triggered an automatic deployment in Cloudflare Pages, now have deleted the original branch in github repo, but in Cloudflare Pages the alias url https://<alias>.<pageid>.pages.dev still exists,

the Delete deployment button is disabled, and the tooltip says “This deployment is assigned to an alias and cannot be deleted until a more recent deployment takes its place.”

it seems saying can only push to auto build a new deployment to replace? but can never delete the alias?

how can I delete the last deployment of an alias? and delete the alias?

Any news on this? I also have this issue with 2 branches! I tried re-creating the branch and deleting it once more (from GitHub). Hoping that Cloudflare Pages just missed the ‘delete event’ and would catch up, but that didn’t seem to be the case. The Deployments are still there and I’m unable to delete them…

Edit: there’s more info in this thread.

Hi there,

You need to remove the associated DNS first. For that get into the page > Custom domains >

Click on the three dots on the right side > Remove Domain

Once done, go to setting > General > scroll down and click delete
