How can change SSL Certificate

I want to change the flex certificate
My friend instructed me to do it but the Certificate Authority is Let’s Encrypt
And my friend’s is SNI Cloudflare
How can I change this?

My information
Issused to : *domain

Issused by E1

And my friend’s is:
Issused to sni cloudflaressl com

Issused by : Cloudflare Inc ECC CA-3

I asked my friend if he needed to buy a package and he said no

And the Edge Certificates section

His is different from mine

Pls help me…

I guess it’s random and some may get Cloudflare some may get let’s encrypt. If you want to upload custom SSL than you need to purchase.

Why :frowning: i need it

For starters, what do you mean by that? What’s your encryption mode on Cloudflare?

How does it makes a difference

i think the problem is with my certificate, as you just answered above it is random, but i would like to change to sni Cloudflare rather than the current *.domain.com

current full

Yeah, I am afraid, that’s not secure and you do not have a valid certificate on your server either. For that reason the certificate you get displayed in your browser does not really matter and you need to fix your server first.

I’d recommend to pause Cloudflare (bottom right) and talk to your host to secure your server. Once your site loads fine on HTTPS without Cloudflare, you can unpause Cloudflare and it will work on Cloudflare as well.

I just wonder why my certificate is different from my friend’s
your friend looks more professional
it was issued by Cloudflare but mine is different
I don’t understand why it’s like that
I also tried spending 10$ to upgrade and still no response

Well, as mentioned you need to pause Cloudflare first.

Cloudflare previously used DigiCert as the main issuer for edge certificates, these are the 1-year certificates that show Cloudflare as the issuer

However, they’re phasing out DigiCert and making LetsEncrypt the default issuer.

You’ll still see some sites with the DigiCert certificates however they’ll likely be switched to LetsEncrypt the next time they renew.

(Last tested a few days ago) it is still possible to use an undocumented API call to switch your Universal SSL issuer back to Digicert and get a 1-year edge certificate however this will likely stop working soon, and it’ll probably get switched back to LetsEncrypt when the certificate needs to be renewed.

That won’t secure the server. The OP needs to fix that first and can then fix any of proxy certificates.

I bought it
for 10$
And now it’s what I want
Cloudflare’s certificate
Thank you for your support

@ken.diamonds, please don’t let @user4358 confuse you. The issue here is not switching a certificate, but that your server is insecure.

You only need to follow the steps already mentioned.

First of all, I thank you for your help
but I still don’t quite understand what you mean
Why do I need to provide the certificate directly on my server?
while i can use Cloudflare’s that
my website dns about Cloudflare
Can you explain more, thank you

Because your site obviously cannot be secure if your server is not secure.

So again, pause Cloudflare.

Why you should choose Full Strict, and only Full Strict has all on that.

ohhhhh, current i set full and certificate i bought 10$, everything ok
thanks you,

You need to set your encryption mode to Full Strict, otherwise your whole site is insecure.
