Hotlink image

Hello everyone, I tried to activate the Hotlink Protection function and then copied the URL of an image that was uploaded on another website. However, the image was still visible on the other website.

I then wondered if I should activate some rules that would force the activation of the Hotlink Protection function. I tried almost all of them, but the images are still visible on other websites besides the one where I activated this function.

I noticed that the protection works if I write it directly from htaccess, thereby excluding any configuration or server-side communication issues.

Do you have any advice? What am I doing wrong?

Hotlink Protection does not remove images stored on other websites or prevent someone from downloading images from your site and re-uploading them elsewhere. All it does is prevent websites from directly linking to an image hosted on your website.

If this other website is linking directly to the image on your site, and Hotlink Protection is still not blocking the requests, could you please share a link to the page that is displaying your images?
