What is the issue you’re encountering
I have a cloudflare tunnel set up to home assistant using a subdomain of a registered domain. The tunnel is healthy and connected through the cloudflared addon in home assistant. I have an access app set up to require either email or google authentication prior to getting access to the home assistant server which sits on my home network. This works perfectly through browsers, both on my PC and on my phone, but if I use the homeassistant companion app, I get an “invalid login session” error and am unable to get through.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
I have tried force stopping and clearing cache for the app. Restarting my phone. Nothing seems to work.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Simply trying to log on to my home assistant server via my cloudflare domain/tunnel.
I’m also running into this problem and could use some help troubleshooting. I’ve already looked through the Zero Trust logs in the Cloudflare portal, but haven’t found anything helpful. Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas on what to try next?
Wonder if you’ve got SSL certificate setup at the origin host where Home Assistant is installed and what are your SSL/TLS settings at Cloudflare dashboard?
How about if Cloudflare IPs are added as Trusted Network?
So, I also asked about this in the home assistant community, and it sounds like this is not currently supported in the companion app (but is via a browser) because the token doesn’t get passed back to the app itself. So, for now, I’ve disabled it.
