I’m reaching out for some assistance regarding my website. I’ve been experiencing slow load times and after some investigation, it seems that the Time to First Byte (TTFB) is quite high.
Here’s a brief overview of my setup:
- Hosting: Cloudways
- CDN & Security: Cloudflare (Free tier + Enterprise through Cloudways)
- Caching: WP Rocket
My developer has optimized the website and pointed out that the high TTFB might be due to the server performance on Cloudways. However, when I reached out to Cloudways, they mentioned: “While TTFB can sometimes be an indicator of server performance, it can also be influenced by several other factors including, but not limited to, DNS resolution, network latency, and initial server processing.”
Given this, I’m looking to understand if there might be any issues or misconfigurations on the Cloudflare side that could be contributing to this high TTFB.
Questions:
- How can I check the health of my Cloudflare account to ensure everything is set up correctly?
- Are there any specific settings or configurations within Cloudflare that I should be aware of which might affect TTFB?
- Has anyone else experienced similar issues and found a solution?
