Help with SSL certificate when using Squarespace

What is the issue you’re encountering

I am hosting my domain on Cloudflare. However, I have built my website using Squarespace. It loads perfectly, apart from the fact that it is missing an SSL certificate.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve checked my settings in Cloudflare. I have an universal certificate and have set it to full strict.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Make sure your DNS records are temporarly unproxied (DNS-only) and follow the steps here to get one for your domain:

Once it starts working fine over HTTPS, switch back the proxy to and use Full (Strict).

Thanks for the response. My DNS records are unproxided. They’ve been unproxied for over a week. Squarespace won’t issue a SSL. Why can’t I just rely on the Cloudflare SSL?

I don’t advise, however you can try to go with the “Flexible SSL” and see if you encounter any issue or not since you’re HTTP only now, if that’ll help you to have HTTPS, hopefully without known redirect issues and similar.
