My preference is to create only a :orange: Proxied AAAA record using the discard prefix 100:: and then use the new redirect rules.

An IPv6 address will certainly also work here, but the type won’t matter. It’s important to have the DNS entries and @artemisio.bertone has found that already anyhow, so it’s not clear what we are discussing. He needs to follow the tutorial he found and set up the DNS entries.

You don’t need redirect rules, you simply need to follow the tutorial that you yourself have posted quite a number of times. I am really not sure what’s confusing here.

You seemingly have a page rule already and only need the mentioned DNS entries, which do not need to be IPv6 ones.

The Redirect Tutorial is good, but uses Page Rules. That’s why I like to share the new Redirect Rules (beta) Cheat Sheet. The new cheat sheet doesn’t cover the DNS portion which is why I mention it.

There is nothing wrong with page rules however :wink: and the tutorial is there for a reason.

the only link that was was able to get at was only about redirecting and I believe that part is ok and not the issue. I dont see any other links that may help me. I will try an get an error message for you maybe that may help?

Why do you think this is okay? You said you did not set up DNS entries.

I have only 1 DNS record for CNAME, cannot add A record because it asks for IP address

What am I suppose to click on to get the tutorial? or do you mean our whole conversation is the tutorial? I still didn’t get any help with my issue, I’m frustrated and going for a smoke

This thread is not a tutorial. The tutorial is what you linked to yourself a number of times and what I have pointed to as well. Sorry, but at this point it is evident that there is some communication issue and me rehashing what I have written countless times is not productive any more. You may want to follow @epic.network’s advice.

ok I’m back. At the top I see Tabs, one is called tutorials, is this what you meant I suppose to click on and all the tutorials are there?
