HELP! We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server :(

Hello. I’ve just created "elamigoqueescucha.tk" on freenom but my site won’t appear neither on chrome nor firefox nor am I able to login into the wp-admin area since it won’t even appear. I have to mention that I have done this process successfully before with other three websites, and they all worked smoothly. Just not sure what happened this time, or what I did wrong. It’s almost 24hs before I created the site so not sure if I should wait a bit more, or it definitely there is something to check out?

These are the steps I found on a Youtube channel, and this is was a I did to create:
1.) add site, e.g.: yourdomain.com and hit scan

2.) Hit Continue and choose Free plan when asked

3.) Change name servers to the ones it gives you. Go to where you have your domain and change the NS’s.

5.) Once it is done (could take a bit, just refresh often, usually happens within 10 minutes for me), go to SSL/TLS settings and choose Flexible SSL.

NOTE: At this point I didn’t wait the 10 minutes until it said “active” and I just changed to flexible SSL. Not sure if that was my mistake.

6.) Now when that is done and says active with green bar, go here to double check: SSL Server Test (Powered by Qualys SSL Labs) just type: yourdomain.com and scan it before moving to next steps. If it was successful, it will show Grade A on all the servers it tested meaning your SSL certificate is active and live.

NOTE: after checking that site, the website couldn’t be reached at all; yet the Cloudflare said "active"and your site is now protected. Then I went for the rest of steps which was basically adding rules and plugins like indicated below:

7.) When that is done, go to Wordpress admin area and install this plugin: Cloudflare Flexible SSL (this will help keep an annoying SSL redirect loop from happening, problems which plagues a lot of us learning how to install SSL) so make sure this is the FIRST plugin you install. It’s a pain if you don’t.

8.) Now go back to plugins and search for and install: WordPress Force HTTPS

9.) At this point your site should show at: https://yourdomain.com and it should have the lock on it. To make ALL pages SSL including WP admin area, search for and install this plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL).

Now, after checking my sites on both browsers this is what I got:

CHROME:
This site can’t be reached

elamigoqueescucha.tk ’s server IP address could not be found.

* Search Google for el amigo que escucha tk admin

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

FIREFOX:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.elamigoqueescucha.tk.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

_ Try again later._
_ Check your network connection._
_ If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web._

Here are some pics:

WHAT I TRIED:
So what I did was that I uninstalled the site from Cloudflare, and reinstall it again. But same thing. Then I proceed to pause the site to see if I was able to login into my wp-admin area without any success. I simply can’t even reach the wordpress login area.

QUESTIONS:

  1. Should I wait more time just to see if the thing fix alone?
  2. Should I contact hostgator?
  3. Is there any step I did wrong? What can I do to fix it?

This screenshot shows the issue. You have no DNS records. Add ones to point to your web host as specified by them. You will need A records.

https://domjh.com/tutorials/Cloudflare/3-adding-dns-records/

Add an A record pointing to the ip of your site

Your site’s IP address can be found in the Account Information / Stats panel of cPanel
