Help! I let my domain lapse and it's been deleted. How do I get it back?

I bought a brand new website, and my client didn’t get back to me on time to discuss what to do with it; meanwhile, I got this email from CF:

[Cloudflare]: has been deleted


The zone: “” in account: Sandra C’s Account" was deleted by Cloudflare on 2024-04-06T00:20:32.54781936Z.

I’m trying to figure out if there’s some specific directions that I’m needing to reinstall it.

I clicked add site and tried to add it back in. Is that all it takes? Have I missed something? How do I know if it’s going to come back? Now it says “Pending nameserver update” but it doesn’t show up yet in my domains.

Would it make sense to call anyone for support?

As you used Cloudflare Registrar to register your domain, I’m not sure why it was removed from the account since it should have been activated. Maybe you previously deleted and added it back.

Anyway, to fix it raise a Cloudflare Registrar support ticket here…
…and ask for the nameservers for your domain to be updated (as they are changed when a domain is added back to Cloudflare, and this needs to be done by the registrar team for you).

I was able to raise a support ticket which because I’m not a “Enterprise, Business and Pro customer” was denied any response except to refer to this community board. Is there a specific set of words I should be looking for with the “Cloudflare Documentation” they said to look through?

I also noticed that the answer I got was from an auto response from a bot- Maybe the case is still open, and I’m not being patient enough with the weekend?
