Help! Error 1014 CNAME Cross-User Banned

Hi everyone,

This should be a simple thing to solve, but having issues.

I’m trying to redirect community.logogeek.uk to club.logogeek.uk

To achieve this I have set up a CNAME called community to point to club.logogeek.uk

I receive Error 1014 CNAME Cross-User Banned.

Any idea how to solve this?

I have recently removed a previous CNAME called community which could be the issue, and it could be a bug?

This domain points to a 3rd party service. You likely need to configure that 3rd party service to accept the new subdomain you want to point to it. That would be done at that service provider.

Correct, and that has all been set up with zero issues. The issue is with the community domain, which I want to redirect to club.

Correct.

A CNAME does not create a redirect. It makes an alias. To redirect, create a redirect rule, and delete the community CNAME. Use a :orange: proxied AAAA record set to the discard prefix address 100:: for that name instead.
