Help! Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

I have enabled cloudflare streaming and uploaded video

I have installed the cloudflare stream word press plugin

I have pasted in my email, and the api id (as the domain name since there is NO DIRECTION as to what else to use)

I have created: Wordpress API token was successfully created – and pasted that into the settings

Failed with: Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

I have gone and copied the: Global API Key – and pasted that into the settings

Failed with: Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

What next?

API ID is usually the email address you use for your Cloudflare account.

Seems odd that the API Account Id would be the same as the API Email

API Configuration

To use the CloudFlare Stream for WordPress plugin, enter your CloudFlare account information below.

API Email
API Key
API Account ID

I have now also tried both API Keys with the Id that is returned when I curl’d the test of the API key (as suggested after generation)

I know that lots of people are successful with the CloudFlare streaming – it seems odd to me that when I followed the link for help - that the help was not WordPress specific… The instructions to create an API key were generic and did not choose the WordPress template (as I did, perhaps erroneously assuming that was why it was there in the first place?) and also, that there was no mention of what the API Account Id would be…

I have rolled the token, curl’d it for verification – no success: Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

I have again tried the id as returned from the curl’d verification – Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

I have tried the part of the url that is my id – Cloudflare Stream API keys are incorrect

what to do?

I expect Support would have a pretty quick answer for this one. Give them a try:

Login to Cloudflare and then contact Cloudflare Support by clicking on the Get More Help button.

yes I posted and opened a ticket (and replied to them) at the same time

I don’t expect they’ll get back until Monday

Also, I didn’t realize until I read some reviews that usage of the plugin is in no way required

I’ve used embeds everywhere and it’s looking great

I’ll be interested to see what they say, but it’s by no means as important as it was

Thanks for your time and attention !

I came to CFS on the advice of the guys at Syntax.fm — and they’re right

I’m looking forward to someday maybe using some of their edge computing options

Cheers!
