What is the name of the domain?

express.ke

What is the error number?

SSL Active in Cloudflare, but Site Still Not Secure (express.ke)

What is the error message?

Not Secure

What is the issue you’re encountering

Hello, I’ve successfully added my domain express.ke to Cloudflare. The Universal SSL certificate shows as active, and I’ve set “Always Use HTTPS” and Auto HTTPS Rewrites to ON. However, when I visit https://express.ke, it still shows as “Not Secure”. DNS points to my web host (AwardSpace), and I’ve also tried clearing cache and using Really Simple SSL. What else can I check or adjust to make the HTTPS padlock appear properly?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I added my domain express.ke to Cloudflare, changed the nameservers successfully, and Cloudflare shows the SSL certificate as active.

I enabled “Always Use HTTPS” and “Automatic HTTPS Rewrites” in the dashboard.

On my WordPress site (hosted on AwardSpace), I installed Really Simple SSL, and updated the Site URL to use https://.

I cleared browser + DNS cache, and tested in Incognito.

My DNS is pointing to the correct IP. Still, my browser shows “Not Secure” when visiting https://express.ke.

I haven’t purchased the AwardSpace SSL yet — I’d like to confirm if Cloudflare SSL should be enough.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

No

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Open a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

Type the full URL:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: https://express.ke

Press Enter

Observe the browser’s address bar:

It shows a warning: “Not Secure”

The padlock icon is missing

Inspect the SSL certificate by clicking the (i) or padlock icon:

It may show: “Certificate not valid” or “Issued to a different domain” (depending on how your browser reads it)

Your site opens fine for me without any security warning or certificate error.

But when I install the starter template or elemetor kit library on wordpress is not loading

This may be unrelated to the SSL certificate warning issue you reported here. For instance some script may be blocked for mixed content, or it may be something else entirely that the Elementor plugin’s vendor may be able to assist you with.

So let’s first close the lid on this:

Are you still seeing this? If so, can you test from a new Guest/Private browser window?
