Why does cloudflare require me to remove all of my nameservers(other than theirs) to add a website? I already have their nameservers added but they are asking me to remove all of the other ones. I’m interested to why. All of the other services I use will stop working and then I will have to wait hours to fix it all up? Is this possible to avoid/any way to skip it?
Why will they stop working? All those records should be in your Cloudflare DNS before you switch over.
Cloudflare needs to be your only name servers to deliver consistent DNS results. There’s a recent thread of someone who tried using their own name servers in addition to Cloudflare and they were getting intermittent connectivity issues due to lack of DNS consistency.
