Having issues redirecting root domain traffic to another URL

What is the issue you’re encountering

Unable to make root domain redirect. Our A records and cnames are working fine, but our root domain we need to redirect to another URL. We’ve changed page rules, redirect rules, tinkered with A-name and cname records. Can’t take traffic navigating to our root domain and sent it somewhere else.

If your root domain is currently an A record, replace that with a CNAME record.
