having issue with email routing/forwarding. I want to forward email to my gmail and I’m not getting anything

Are you sending your test email from the same Gmail account where your domain is forwarding? You will want to send your test email from a different account. Gmail hides emails sent to itself, even when they arrive via a forwarding alias.
i created a new email alias in Cloudflare. I want my email to be forwarded to my gmail.
The email is added and the gmail smtp is setup but needs to be verified and it says " Confirm verification and add your email address
An email with a confirmation code was sent to (my Cloudflare email) and I’m not getting any confirmation code to my gmail
