What is the name of the domain?
What is the issue you’re encountering
The number of unique image transformations keeps growing daily even though the number of images we have does not. This is contrary to the way the system was described to work. We are supposed to be getting charged for unique image transformations within a billing period and believe we have things set up to cache the responses.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
We are unable to diagnose as we are unaware how we can get logging details of what image transformations are being performed that contribute to the daily count.
In what area can we help you?
I don’t know
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Review of billable transformations shows the number growing every day despite caching.
Caching shows that a single day misses are 63.2k on the domain where image transformations are enabled.
Among the misses, the unique image urls (with transformation directives) shows that there are multiple requests for the same image when missed from cache.
These urls that are cache misses also show that they are run multiple times in this same billing period but still seem to be counted multiple times.
