Google Page Speed Bot

I notice that in order to successfully run Google Page Speed on my Wordpress site that I have to turn off Bot Mode. Not a big deal but is there an “approved bot rule” for them? The use URL https://pagespeed.web.dev but the request can come from many different IPs so I cannot greenlight an IP (like I do for SEO bots like Semrush or AHREFs).

I can still run local browser extensions or utilities like GTmetrix

Morning Craig,

I’ve just had and resolved the same issue. You need to add a new rule to the “IP Access Rules” section to allow all requests from Google’s ASN “AS15169”.
