GoDaddy/Wordpress Set-Up Issues

Have a GoDaddy hosting package with Wordpress installed and a Divi Theme for my photography site. Thought would try Cloudflare for SSL – seemed simple enough and offering a free option.

From outset ran into these issues:

1 – If I enable https to be on all the time in my Cloudflare settings all my gallery images are blocked. Other non-clickable images used amongst text and in front page slider are still there. I have https in address bar with a warning icon for users about images.

2 – Using the ‘flexible’ SSL option all browsers still flag my site as insecure and I have no https in address bar. My wp-admin page is still flagged as insecure too. If I select ‘full’ SSL my site is completely inaccessible with message for the site owner to log in and visitors to ‘check back soon’!

3 – I am also getting the following warning message at the top of my DNS page on Cloudflare…

"Some of your DNS only records are exposing IPs that are proxied through Cloudflare. Make sure to proxy all A, AAAA, and CNAME records pointing to proxied records to avoid exposing your origin IP.

Before I try the recommended WP plugins for the mixed content issues (what websites don’t have mixed content!) are there any suggestions that might help here?

Your server should have an SSL certificate on it. This article shows how to install a Cloudflare origin cert at GoDaddy:

As far as the DNS warning, this is normal if you host email on the same server as your website. Email goes direct to origin, but website is routed through Cloudflare.

Thanks for this, will have a look. So I can just ignore the DNS warning then.
