Godaddy not accepting cloudflare nameservers

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m attempting to transfer dns control from Godaddy to Cloudflare, godaddy support says the problem is with the new nameservers.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have added the domain on cloudflare, imported and checked the dns records.(Now on Pending Nameserver Update)

On godaddy I have attempted to change the nameservers, been given a “Your attempt to update nameservers has failed. Please retry, if the problem persists contact support”. I have contacted their support who indicate the problem is with the cloudflare nameservers. They said “Those nameservers are the same, while they should be different”.

The cloudflare nameservers in question are “keyla.ns.cloudflare.com” & “ned.ns.cloudflare.com”.

Cloudflare is not involved in changing your nameservers.

You will either need to convince GoDaddy to change your nameservers, or move your domain to a functioning registrar.

Because of (unanounced) api changes on Godaddy’s side, both in access as functionality, I apparently reached the limit for number of (TXT) records. Once I removed a couple of those the nameserver change went through just fine.

Their support seemingly has no clue this could be an issue at all.
