GoDaddy > Cloudflare > Bluehost - Something's not working?

I’ve purchased my domain through GoDaddy and have changed the nameservers to Cloudflare. I then added Bluehost’s IP in the Cloudflare DNS settings, but Bluehost still can’t pick it up. It’s been over 24 hours.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi @mdmcintyre,

What exactly can’t Bluehost ‘pick up’?

Can you share the domain name?

Oh, I see.

So going with the second option, they want to see their IP address to verify the domain. When you enable Cloudflare, however, they will see Cloudflare’s IPs instead.

What you can do is pause Cloudflare, wait for it to validate and then re-enable it. Hopefully that will work. You can pause Cloudflare from the Overview tab of the Cloudflare Dashboard, bottom right under Advanced Actions.

Do they not provide an alternative method of validation, with a TXT record, for example?

If I add Bluehosts name servers directly to GoDaddy, it works straight away. The issues strat when I add in Cloudflare.

Ok, i’ll give that a try. Thanks.
