Godaddy asking me ipv4 to change nameservers

Hi everyone.

For the first time ever, when I choose to change the nameservers on a domain in my GoDaddy account, they are requesting me to put the IP, and not only the nameservers.

But Cloudflare do not show me the IPs, just the nameservers.

Where can I find those IPs?

Just run a nslookup on the pair that has been assigned to you. For example:

$ nslookup nina.ns.cloudflare.com
Server:127.0.0.53
Address:127.0.0.53#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:nina.ns.cloudflare.com
Address: 173.245.58.136
Name:nina.ns.cloudflare.com
Address: 2400:cb00:2049:1::adf5:3a88

I’d really like to know why they are asking fir IPs. They are only a requirement when using glue records :roll_eyes:

Mark, sorry about noob questions like that:

What IP should I use?

The first one in Server, or the second one in Address?

The one shown in the ‘Non-authoritative anwer’ section.

That’s an example. You need to run this command for the nameserver pair assigned to your domain.
