Hi everyone. I am technically not great. I have a domain hosted on Cloudflare with a custom email hosted through iCloud. Everything was working fantastic up until a week ago when all my emails to gmail accounts were bouncing back.
I am happy to pay a senior tech to fix this situation for me because it’s become very frustrating as you can imagine.
Here is the bounce back:
This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to the
550-5.7.26 sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must
550-5.7.26 authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message,
550-5.7.26 DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check for stevedworman.com
550-5.7.26 not pass with ip: [184.168.131.12]. The sender should visit
I do not have an administrator account at google as I don’t use their services other than one email account rarely used.
I do have a screen shot from apple on how it should be configured. A tech guy I used tried to reconfigure it for google and changed some of the settings.
If you know that problem and can easily fix, and can walk me through it or fix it, I will be grateful and happy to pay for your time.
Can you do the test on https://www.mail-tester.com/ and post a link to the result here? That will quickly show us what’s wrong.
What I can tell you is that you have multiple SPF records, which is not allowed. If you only use iCloud Mail, you should delete this record: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
Do you use an email account with your own domain at Google or just a normal Gmail address?
If it is your own domain, you still need to remove that SPF record, but modify the other one so it is v=spf1 include:icloud.com include:_spf.google.com ~all instead.
Number 1 reason for this pageYour email client, plugin or extension said “sent”, and it sure did. But your email got stopped just after, and never got sent.
Why? Your SMTP or web host is probably blocking your emails. Quite common. Get in touch with them now to find out.
