Github Pages custom domain redirect to Cloudflare domain doesn't have HTTPS

Hello there. I setup my Github pages custom domain and have it working fine, however Github reports that I can’t enforce HTTPS on my url and don’t know what I did wrong. I followed their guide about it and have it redirecting just fine, but I can’t enable HTTPS through Github as it states “Unavailable for your site because your domain is not properly configured to support HTTPS”.

These are an example of my DNS records on Cloudflare:

A
EXAMPLE(dot)com
185.199.108.153

A
EXAMPLE(dot)com
185.199.109.153

185.199.110.153

A
EXAMPLE(dot)com
185.199.111.153

CNAME
www
EXAMPLE(dot)com

The immediate thing I can think of is that, if enabled, you may have to disable the Cloudflare proxy (ie set the @ and www hostnames to DNS-only) to pass the Github DNS verification.

If that’s not the issue, you’ll need to share the actual domain with us if you want us to look into this for you.

It does seem to clean up and change to https though weirdly enough, but still reports that it isn’t through the github pages settings, I hadn’t noticed that before.
