Getting ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH when using HTTPS

What is the issue you’re encountering

Site works fine except HTTPS

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I set up this site like others I have set up. Import DNS, update nameservers, wait for propogation… and that’s pretty much it, but not this time.
I did the “optimization” and also set the option to always use https
I turned off the Universal cert and turned it back on again (was in a post I found). Did nothing.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

visit site. http works fine with out without www. https does not.

Both DNS record A www and A victorytechsolutions.com needs to be proxied :orange: so the Universal SSL would be able to issue the SSL certificate for your hostname(s).

Currently they resolve to the origin IP address instead of the IP address from the Cloudflare network.

Kindly, double-check your DNS tab and make sure they’re :orange: .

  • Tthe “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .

Thank You !! That was it. My A records weren’t proxied.
