I’ve noticed lately I get captcha requests from Cloudflare when opening websites. I did find my dad laptop connected to my wifi and had some malware, but this was back in Christmas, yet I continue to get captcha requests as today. I inspected my whole network and don’t have any infected or abnormal traffic. Unfortunately my ISP does not cycle IP addresses easily, so I’m stuck with my current one (which I actually prefer) Yet I’ve been unable to see why Cloudflare won’t increase the reputation of my IP and be done with the captcha requests.
There are several common reasons a Cloudflare-protected website may block or challenge a site visitor:
The visitor’s IP address demonstrated previous suspicious activity online. Review your client IP address for malicious activity at Project Honeypot. If no suspicious activity is observed from the visitor’s IP address after a two-week period, Cloudflare stops challenging the IP address.
