Getting blank returns on a new domain - https://_/

Sorry, newbie here. I registered a new domain with CF and I keep getting a reply “https://_/”. On my browser (FireFox) I get HTTPS-Only Mode Alert … Continue to HTTP Site button and when I click it it tells me “Unable to Connect.”

Over at Edge browser, I get a the same “https://_/” and a reply “can’t reach this page”

I’m using a Dynamic DNS, and I can verify the public IP address is the correct IP address on the A record for this domain. If I use a No-IP domain, I can open the site I need to access from any outside client looking in. But for domains hosted in CF, I definitely get the “https://_/” reply.

Am I missing something?

What is the domain name?

mynimbuscloud.org

You really do have a redirect to https://_/, I thought you were obfuscating something!

Due to the body returned with the redirect you can see the redirect is coming from your nginx server, not Cloudflare…

curl -i https://mynimbuscloud.org/

thank you sjr. I’ll checkout my nginx server configurations.

I disabled the nginx server and port forward directly to my internal server. it is still the same result. I still get https://_/ result.

I added a no-ip domain http://mycloud-viz.ddns.net and get replies for this url. Is there something I should configure at CF part?

An nginx server is still answering with the same redirect…

So to add to add more given info, the server is a docker in my unRaid server. UnRaid does usenginx. However, http://mycloud-viz.ddns.net which is a no-ip domain pointed at the same server the https://mynimbuscloud.org url is trying to reach, works fine. All the setting in the nginx are left default and from what I read from the unRaid documentation it does not need to be touched.

I’m not sure why the nginx server is acting up with Cloudflare. Is there something that it does not like when CF makes the connection?

It will be in an nginx configuration somewhere…
