Get bandwidth usage stats by DNS host name

Hi there

Is there a way to get a report or raw data dump that would facilitate in determining daily bandwidth usage by the DNS host name? There seems to be really limited reporting on the Dashboard and it seems the data only goes back 1 month? Is that the hard limit?

Yes, from Cloudflare you won’t get anything older than that even on the Enterprise plan. You can use Logpush to send the logs to a third party location if you use the Enterprise plan or something like logflare.app for an almost perfect alternative with some different details.

Hi! You can do this with Logflare!! After you set it up. you should see metadata.response.headers.content_length in your logs. You can then Explore that in Google Data Studio. As request/response headers are all sent to us as strings you’ll have to use Data Studio to force it into an integer. Once this is setup you’ll be able to chart this over time and generate a table of your top urls sorted by bandwidth. The sum of all these data won’t be exactly what you see in your Cloudflare dashboard …

It’ll use the content length header which may not be exact but probably close enough of a proxy for your needs.
