We did try it out twice for higher traffic event launches. Worked exactly as intended, although you don’t realize how many bots you have hitting a site until they start taking up space in the queue by the hundreds.

Since we only needed the waiting room for a short period of time, we downgraded the domain. Except we didn’t realize we had to disable the waiting room before we downgraded. So now, for over a month, we’ve had support ticket #2257556 open because the waiting room is stuck “on” this domain and we can’t disable it.
