Gateway via PiHole - no allowed DNS requests

I am using PiHole for local ad filtering, with Cloudflare Zero Trust as the upstream DNS servers providing security and adult content filtering.

Since I don’t have a static public IP, I am using the IPv6 address and DNS over HTTPS (using cloudflared as a dns proxy) which use addresses specific to my account.

So I would expect to see DNS requests from my network showing up in Analytics > Gateway and Logs > Gateway. However I am not seeing much. I see nothing in the Last Hour view, and only some Blocked in the last 24 hours - no Allowed requests.

According to my PiHole, requests have been sent in and responses received in the last 24 hours to both the IPv6 and DNS over HTTPS, so I would expect to see some Allowed requests.

Are some requests not being registered as coming from my account, or does Cloudflare Zero Trust not log any allowed requests in the Free tier? Or have a got things misconfigured somehow.

For my account on the Zero Trust Free plan, the Gateway Activity Log includes allowed DNS requests. My set-up uses IPv4 instead of IPv6, though I won’t expect that to matter for logging.

Thanks for checking.

I looked again at my settings and found that under Gateway logging Capture only blocked was selected, which explains why I wasn’t seeing allowed requests! Now I have changed that to Capture all I am seeing what I expected.
