Cloudflare might regenerate certificates if the current one on your account is about to expire, or if CF needs to re-issue it for your domain for any reason.

If you have an uploaded certificate or chose not to proxy your domain (your DNS records look like :grey: meaning they are NOT proxied), you can disable this by going to SSL/TLS -> Edge Certificates and clicking “Disable Universal SSL”. Note that unless you disable the proxy or upload a certificate (which is only available for Business plans), CF will then be unable to provide HTTPS.
