Full SSL in place, website still "Not Secure"

What is the name of the domain?

hammerdownarmament.com

What is the error number?

no error

What is the error message?

no error

What is the issue you’re encountering

I think I have Cloudflare configured, but web site still “not secure”. My origin server tells me they can’t help because “Cloudflare is hosting”. All I did was change the nameservers

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Tried to install SSL certificate on origin server. No access to SSL. In fact stated to be disabled. They want $200 to use their SSL certificate. I have tried Flexible and Full SSL from Cloudflare. Origin is register.com if anyone has experience with them.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Always “not secure”

With some exceptions, cloudflare is not a hosting provider. A lot of hosting providers make that same incorrect assumption.

Is that a self signed cert from cloudflare?

No access by?

I see universal as ssl is enabled

I don’t have a 526 error, in fact I have no error. On this screen shot it says disabled SSL. Now since I put the Cloudflare Nameservers on register.com, they claim “Cloudflare is hosting and they cannot help me”. I tried to explain Cloudflare is not the host. Is there anyway to fix this on Cloudflare end that would give me an https:// connections?

Have you considered using another webhosting provider? The only reason for a webhost to not include a free DV certificate is if they want to sell you one at a hefty markup.

Even if they did have a way for you to enable a certificate, you would have a mismatched hostname error. Your screenshot shows that your WordPress site is using a third-level subdomain in an entirely different domain than the one you are using with Cloudflare.

In order to function securely with Cloudflare, your site needs to be working properly over HTTPS before you enable the Cloudflare proxy.

The site belongs to my nephew. I am just doing site development. I use Bluehost and they offer all the stuff I want free. I tried moving it there, but they have new ethics policies where they will not host anything that is weapon related.
