Free Bluehost Cloudflare CDN support and Cloudflare registration

What is the name of the domain?

penick.net

What is the issue you’re encountering

My domain is pending registration in Cloudflare, but I don’t think I’m ready to start managing my domain through Cloudflare. How can I cancel the registration process with Cloudflare, and were any changes made when I started the Cloudflare registration, or is everything the same as before if I haven’t done any of the instructions for moving over to Cloudflare (e.g., changing nameservers)?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Nothing so far. I’m afraid to do anything at the moment.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Have a domain managed by Bluehost with CDN enabled. Register the domain with Cloudflare so that it is in the pending state.

If you haven’t changed the nameservers, none of your Cloudflare configuration can affect your domain. If not made active within 28 days, the domain will be deleted from your Cloudflare account. You can just add it again when you are ready to use Cloudflare.

Although I mentioned in the title and repro steps, I didn’t include anything about Bluehost in the issue description.

Because the Cloudflare CDN support that is available as part of my Bluehost web hosting is enabled, I am concerned that registering my website through Cloudflare could impact that. I haven’t changed anything in the configuration through my account at Cloudflare, so should the settings that were in effect via Bluehost remain unchanged?

Thanks @sjr! Can you confirm that this is still the case given that the CDN was enabled through Bluehost previously as I describe in my reply to the original post?
