We’ve tested the email address alias and it is receiving email without any issue, so I’m not sure why Cloudflare isn’t sending anything to it (or saying whether or not it was a valid account.)
I went ahead and tried this twice, but so far the corporate Gmail hasn’t received anything. I couldn’t find another place to report this issue so I went ahead and created a support topic.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
We went to “Forgot Password”, entered the email address (different than the email address I’m using to report this issue), and so far have received nothing.
Could be the email address may not be associated with any Cloudflare account.
That’s a common security practice to NOT disclose valid user email addresses, as that gives attackers one foot into the yard. Along the same line, other sites may say something like “If you entered the correct email address, you should receive an email to reset your password”, or “Your email or password is incorrect” (but without saying which one).
Of course, it may just be Cloudflare not sending the email.
