What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

Where do you find the ip address for a domain name.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I switched my domain registration to Cloudflare. I can’t find the ip address anywhere on Cloudflare. I have checked some posts and done a Google search, but haven’t found a solution. Some posts say that the IP address will be automatically added into the DNS records, but my A name records are empty. Appreciate your help!

You will need to get that information from your web host. 14 days ago that was Godaddy according to securitytrails.com.

Thank you. I did transfer the domain from GoDaddy, but I don’t have (or need) a website. This is for email only.

If you don’t need a website, you don’t need to add any records for one. You can remove the DNS record for www as well in that case.

Thanks, but here are no a records on my account. To create the a records I believe I need the IP address. Don’t know why the A record wasn’t set up with the transfer. I am trying to get my iCloud email set up, and Apple said the A records are wrong. I really appreciate your help — way above my pay grade here!

You said you didn’t want a website, only email, so you don’t need A records.

If you are setting up email for iCloud, then these are the 5 DNS records you need to set…

To set those records on Cloudflare you can follow this guide…

Thank you very much for your help. I went back to Apple and now they are asking for changes to the CNAME, which makes zero sense since I do have the DKIM set the way they want. I plan to call them again tomorrow.

Make sure sig1._domainkey and any other CNAMEs for email are set to “DNS only” and not “Proxied”…
