External Redirect Error When Using HTTPS

We have two CNAME records for as such:

  • subdomain → mydomain.com
  • www.subdomain → mydomain.com

Also have a 301 page rule *subdomain.mydomain.com/* that redirects to an external site (a HubSpot marketing form).

The redirect seems to work when entering the following into Chrome:

  • subdomain.mydomain.com
  • https://subdomain.mydomain.com

However https://www.subdomain.mydomain.com gives an “ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH” error.

Any idea why only this variation gives an error? Thanks in advance.
