External DNS?

Hello,

I have a corporate client that is requiring that DNS be migrated to their internal system (currently in Cloudflare) but is interested in keeping the Cloudflare benefits. Can I enable Cloudflare with external DNS? Is the only way to become a Cloudflare partner?

This can be done on the Cloudflare business plan in a CNAME setup.

okay thanks for mentioning. I don’t see anything in the docs or mentioned on the business package page. Can you clarify how it will work?

I also need to have an idea of how I migrate them, could I:

  1. activate business plan
  2. Change DNS within Cloudflare to work on a cname
  3. Export raw dns file & provide to client to replicate records
  4. transfer DNS to client
