Presumably this is because the domain is still stuck in cloudflare registrar’s DB, but what I want to know is… how can I provoke cloudflare in removing it from /registar in my account and it’s cache? deleting the website and adding it back does not do so.
I have expired domains from 2022 still in my account, so it happening automatically seems unlikely.
I’m unable to open tickets to resolve this (redirect loop).
This has degraded to the point that a scan cannot be started from Security Center → Infrastructure. The following error is displayed on a laptop and phone with multiple browsers:
API Request Failed: POST /api/v4/accounts/…/intel/attack-surface-report/start (500)
And the domains remain listed that were removed from Cloudflare, all displaying zero traffic proxied through Cloudflare including a domain that does have proxy records in Cloudflare DNS.
My issue did get resolved; but it is unclear how, whether it was automated (slow) or manual intervention. I still have a bunch of old expired domains appearing in my account that are long gone with no website associated with CF either.
Rocketesta, I received a reply from someone in the Cloudflare Team re my post about the API Error that was displayed on all browsers and devices. I was able to start a scan and all the old/expired domains disappeared, leaving only the correct ones showing. So problem solved!
