Expired SSL Cert on host, can't access, can CF SSL solve?

What is the name of the domain?

ultrasourceusa com

What is the isssue you’re encountering

Former admin for our website left company and we no longer have access to the cloud hosted server that the site runs on. Furthermore, the vendor that has access will not assist. Currently we have an expired SSL cert.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I hope adding CF to handle SSL Cert will resolve. Will it? Or no, because there is a SSL cert on the host and it is expired?

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

No

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Have not implemented yet. Looking for confirmation that this POC / idea will work.

Both of those means that you should find a way to migrate to somewhere else, where you are at the same time obtaining full access.

In addition, they are good reasons for you to also make sure that you make internal policies for your organisation now, so that it is always your own organisation that hold the account(s) that are related to your services, and that services you rely on do not reside e.g. in a (previous) employee’s personal account, or on accounts belonging to vendors, or other third parties.

No.

Correct, Cloudflare cannot replace the certificate on your server.

You will need to fix this first.

That would be a very insecure set up for ultrasourceusa.com.

Switch it to Full (STRICT) immediately.

Thanks for the reply. I wholeheartedly agree and this was my assumption. This idea was floated by an outside resource. We are working to do all you recommended, but in the meantime, we are looking for options. Thanks again.
