Error when entering shopify cname records

I need to add in 4 x cname records from my shopify account but when I do add the host name and the value to a cname i get error:

DNS Validation Error (Code:1004) This record type cannot be proxied.

What does this mean and how do i add in the 4 x shopify cname records so my contact page will work with emails?

When you enter the record, you may have to click the :orange: to switch it to :grey:.
