Error Message Cloudflare Ray ID: 8632d16cca0d36ae; error code 520

Hi there, when I click on the eye from builderall to view my webpage I get this error message. Can someone share with me in terms of how to fix it as I am at a standstill until then. Thanks so much!

Error message: Cloudflare Ray ID: 8632d16cca0d36ae error code 520

What is the name of the site? Any other error message or number aside from the Ray ID?

Here’s a screenshot (does that help?):

It does, thank you. The site loads to a parking page with godaddy for me. Perhaps clear browser cache & try again?

The error looks to be a 530, I’d go here https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns and check the value of the two A (for Address) records. Perhaps contact your hosting provider and check that the IP value of those records is correct, if they tell you some other IPs, enter that as the value of the A records.

Yes that’s what I am still getting despite clearing the cache. I spoke to go daddy on the phone this morning and they mentioned the A records but I have no idea what that means and I can’t seem to find support from cloudflare. Is that something you would be able to direct me to?

Hi @anne.loay happy to help. Go here, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns and look for the 2 DNS records, the two A records are the first two below this header

Check if the Content of the records is what godaddy gave you. If not, under Actions, click edit to edit the record with the new content (IP address of your origin server at godaddy).

@cloonan,
I called go daddy and they apparently propagated my DNS? Does that make sense?

Were you able to ask them to verify the IP address of your server? I am still seeing a parking page.

He said it would take about 24 hours.

I just let him do his thing.

Happy to zoom if you feel like it would be easier!

This domain is no longer using Cloudflare name servers.

What they meant is that they dropped Cloudflare, and instead moved your domain to their own name servers.

The domain is now the following name servers, for it’s authoritative DNS:

ns33.domaincontrol.com
ns34.domaincontrol.com

My recommendation for name server changes is to expect 48 - 96 hours for the DNS propagation to succeed.

As a result of the name server change, it means that you are literally moving away from Cloudflare, and therefore not using Cloudflare any more.

Oh ■■■■. I had a bad feeling it wasn’t the right thing.

Now I have to call them again. Is someone able to get on a zoom call and help me out?

Not sure if those folks fully understand what I need.

So I transferred everything back to cloudflare (changed the DNS info back) and the agent was able to get the IP addresses for me and I’ve updated it accordingly. He said it takes about 24 hours so I will see what happens.
Thanks everyone for trying to help me, if you have any other suggestions please let me know or if my understanding is incorrect once again which is bound to happen!
