Error deploying astro site (was working)

I have been deploying an astro site on my pages and it’s been going great until 2 days ago. When I push my code to github and it runs the build I get this error:

08:31:33.486 Completed in 567ms.
08:31:33.487 generating optimized images
08:31:33.513 munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer
08:31:33.539 Aborted
08:31:33.551 Failed: Error while executing user command. Exited with error code: 134
08:31:33.561 Failed: build command exited with code: 1
08:31:34.635 Failed: error occurred while running build command

This is a C error. So most likely the build is crashing itself. I first checked my images (since that is where it seems to fail) and they are all good. I did reduce one in size, but now it’s reasonable (200k).

I am able to build locally running ‘npm run astro build’

Any ideas?

I have the same problem, and building on my end also works. I suspect that the error is caused by packages. In my case, astro-icon is the most likely culprit.

I’m facing the same problem, using Astro as well. This has been happening for 2 days.

I figured it out! The package astro-compress was breaking it for me (hence why it failed right after optimizing images), so I just uninstalled the package and removed it from my Astro config.

@Night256 Yes that worked also for me. Thank you for sharing!
