Error 524 Ray ID: 5b9e1fa2c9120706 • A timeout occurred WordPress Blog

I am getting this error while login to WordPress website, update a post, or new post, Update image, or navigating through websites or optimizing the website. I read all the articles available on the internet with the topic and Implemented some of them like database update, plugins update, PHP version, but didn’t get the desired result. Issues are the same. I have spoken with hosting provider and they are saying that there is no issue with hosting. Does it cause by plugins or heavy database? Does cloud flare created the issue, Should I take the other SSL which is not sending traffic via cloud flare. Please explains this in detail to me. My blog URL: Which has SSL hosted on cloud flare.

Hi @sar20391,

It generally means that the action is taking longer than 100s and sounds like it could be due to a slow server.

A 524 error indicates that Cloudflare made a successful TCP connection to the origin web server, but the origin did not reply with an HTTP response before the connection timed out. Review the suggestions in this Community Tip for troubleshooting ideas.

I would recommend you and any admins use your hosts file to connect directly to the site while you are editing it, so you are not limited by Cloudflare’s timeout, if you run processes that need to be that long.

It is not helpfull.
