My encryption mode is: SSL/TLS encryption mode is Full (strict)
Custom Domain is set up for www.ntrail.org and this is reflected in the CNAME records one for the root and one for www the destination is set for my pages site and this returns a the proper information. The rest of the DNS records are the same as my old site so I can still receive and send email from that ISP.
Update, I deleted the two CNAME records and the custom domain settings and then let Cloudflare populate the CNAME by adding my domain name to the custom domain. I no longer get the 522 error with the Cloudflare error page but a simple “This site can’t be reached.” Different but still not working. It’s been several hours.
Now working! I think the trick was to delete the CNAME record and the Custom Domain entries and then let Cloudflare populate the CNAME field. Must be some magic happening in the background with the flattening process. Just a wild guess on my part! Now onto email forwarding!
