Hi,
Yesterday I was warned that customers from spain could not access the website and were getting cloudflare 521 error. The website was working fine for me, and many others could access too.
But when I tried to connect with a VPN server in Spain I got the 521 error ! (I tried with VPN from a lot of countries all worked fine except for Spain)
I had to remove the clouflare proxy in the DNS settings to allow our spanish customers to access the site. (even putting the site in dev mode did not work)
Someone else got a problem like this ?
I did not see any issue reported for Spain on cloudfare status page.
Any ideas ?
Thanks !
It sounds like you’ve narrowed it down. There’s always the slight chance your host is blocking a specific IP address of an edge server in Span. You can certainly ask them.
Even if it’s not happening to anybody else, I suggest you open a ticket. It might be a Cloudflare issue.
To contact Cloudflare Customer Support, login & go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/?account=support and select get more help. If you receive an automatic response that does not help you, please reply and indicate you need more help.
Thanks for your answer sdayman.
I host the site on an AWS instance, I don’t think amazon does block traffic upfront of it and I checked firewall rules and logs.
I’ll try cloudflare customer support as you suggest.
