Error 1000 Ray ID: 8c08d3077d10b320 • 2024-09-09 17:16:08 UTC DNS points to prohibited IP What happened? You’ve requested a page on a website (hoba.tech) that is on the Cloudflare network. Unfortunately, it is resolving to an IP address that is creating a conflict within Cloudflare’s system. What can I do? If you are the owner of this website: you should login to Cloudflare and change the DNS A records for hoba.tech to resolve to a different IP address.
What is the issue you’re encountering
Site(s) are down - this site (main site) and all 5x subdomains
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Previously A records for main site hoba.tech and CNAME records for all other sites (5x), had DNS setting as “Proxied” all now changed to “DNS only”.
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
DNS records
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
The two (2) A records for hoba.tech website (main site) were ‘proxied’, changed to 'DNS only", and all of the other 5x websites (subdomains of hoba.tech eg partners.hoba.tech) DNS status was also 'Proxied" have all been changed to “DNS only” on WPE instruction. The above error message still appears (and website are not displaying).
That name is resolving to IPs allocated to WP Engine, who also use Cloudflare. Have you contacted them to ask about the error message? That’s probably going to be the best place to start, as they likely have more direct access to Cloudflare support, and may already be aware of issues involving their IP space.
Hi, thanks for responding! I have been on the chat with WPE support, it was all for and by their exact and explicit instructions that i made those changes. They are or did tell me that I have to wait 1-2 hrs “for the domain to be refreshed”. Its been 2hrs now, still offline.
We did leave WPE and move to CloudWays, but that service was terrible, so moved back to WPE. We used to average 4k-7k UDV now exactly. I have asked CloudWays if they have actually deleted out accounts and any and all DNS records, not just marked them for deletion by actually deleted. They are confirming now. Could this also be an issue?
Sadly, no change as of yet. I suppose I need to wait 1-2 hours?
I dont know if this is also a contributing element - we left WPE and went to CloudWays, that was worst, so went back. I have asked CW is they are still doing something with the DNS records from there side like, marking it for deletion but havent actually deleted it?
When we left WPE and came back, there was one of our sites we couldnt access, only when queriing WPE support, they found that a previous envrionment wasnt actually deleted but marked for deletion, they deleted it and now we have (or did have until this error now).?
