Error 1000 Cloudflare and Synology NAS

What is the name of the domain?

gotnas

What is the error number?

1000

What is the error message?

Error 1000 DNS points to prohibited IP

What is the issue you’re encountering

I can’t access my Synology NAS via the domain

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

So I had this Cloudflared tunnel set up for over a year with no issues then it suddenly stopped working.
My domain is hosted by Cloudflare. I have tried totally deleting the Cloudflared tunnel from Cloudflare and the Synology NAS, recreating it from scratch. Cloudflare is seeing the tunnel OK, and the Synology NAS docker container is also showing the tunnel as running and ok. No errors or anything bad in the logs. But I’m still getting that 1000 error.
I don’t have any A or AAA records set up in Cloudflare, as I shouldn’t need any IP’s using the Cloudflared tunnel. The only CNAME listed in DNS is the one created by Cloudflare when creating the tunnel.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

I don’t know

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Trying to visit the domain

Hi @deano85 This error points to you using a prohibited IP

Are you on the newest version of cloudflared? Have you tried setting it up again from scratch to see if this error persists?
